A Tour of the Archives of the Portuguese-Jewish Community in Amsterdam

 

Abstract: A live presentation of the archives of the Portuguese Jews in Amsterdam.

Ton Tielen is an independent researcher based in The Hague, Netherlands. His interests range from Spinoza to the Sephardic communities in The Netherlands and the Sephardic Diaspora in general. Now retired, Ton has worked as an archivist with the Netherlands Red Cross Society. In 2014 he co-founded Facebook Group The Sephardic Diaspora which offers informed discussion of Sephardic history and genealogy. With David Mendoza, he started Sephardic World in 2019 which offers weekly lectures by academics and knowledgeable non-academics on history and genealogy.
